We’re looking for someone to help build and run our Startup Portfolio Programme. It brings training, mentoring and startup placements together for experienced professionals moving into advisory or part-time leadership work.
You’ll take responsibility for what happens after someone joins: getting them started, coordinating mentors and arranging a placement that fits. Mentors provide the specialist guidance; you make sure the programme runs well and people get the support they’ve signed up for.
Help build it from the start
This is a new programme, so you’ll help decide how it works. You’ll get to know startup founders, understand where their businesses need help and work with experienced leaders who can contribute. You’ll also see placements through beyond the introduction, learning what makes them work and using that to improve the next one.
The role starts part-time, supporting a small initial cohort.
What you’ll do
01Get people ready for their placementUnderstand each participant’s goals and experience, help them get started, and coordinate learning and mentoring. Work with mentors to check they’re ready for a placement.
02Find a fit that works for both sidesSpeak with founders about the help they need, identify suitable participants and arrange introductions. Help both sides agree on the work, time commitment and expectations before starting.
03Stay involved after the introductionCheck in with participants and founders, deal with questions and help resolve problems. Keep clear records of decisions, commitments and next steps.
04Improve how we run the programmeBuild useful ways to track progress, gather feedback and spot where people get stuck. Work with the Onfound team to improve the service and flag when more support is needed.
Who this would suit
- You’ve run a programme or customer-facing service from start to finish. That could be in programme operations, customer success, professional services, recruitment or placements.
- You can look after several clients or participants at once, make day-to-day decisions and know when to ask for help.
- You ask good questions to understand what someone needs before suggesting a solution.
- You’re comfortable talking with senior professionals, setting expectations and addressing problems directly.
- You enjoy setting up a new service, keeping useful records and finding better ways to follow up with people.
No specific degree is required. We’re interested in examples of work you’ve taken responsibility for and delivered.
