Delete your Onfound account
You can delete your Onfound account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
This page explains the steps, what is deleted and what remains, and how to request deletion by email if you can no longer sign in. You do not need to contact us to delete your account.
1 Delete your account in the app
- Open the Onfound app and go to Settings.
- Scroll down to Danger Zone and tap Delete account.
- Read what will happen, then confirm: enter your password, or type DELETE if you signed up with Google. Tap Delete my account.
Your account is deleted immediately. You are signed out on the spot and your login stops working. There is no waiting period, and deletion cannot be reversed.
2 What is deleted and what remains
We delete your account and your personal information. Content you posted into shared spaces (messages, community posts and comments) remains, but is no longer linked to you or your name. Where that content is shown, it appears as posted by a member who has left Onfound.
Deleting your account also:
- Cancels any active subscription immediately, without a refund for the remaining part of the billing period.
- Cancels any meetups you are hosting and notifies attendees.
- Refunds any paid meetup seats you hold where a refund is due.
- Removes your profile photo and removes you from our marketing emails.
Some records are kept for a limited time where the law requires it, for example billing records. The retention periods are set out in Section 8 (Data Retention) of our Privacy Policy.
3 If you cannot sign in
If you can no longer sign in, no longer have the app installed, or would rather not delete from inside the app, you can ask us to delete your account for you.
Email support@onfound.com from the email address on your account with the subject line “Delete my account”.
We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and delete the account within 30 days. If you write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm from the address on the account before we proceed.
The same deletion applies whichever route you use: your account and personal information are deleted, and any active subscription is cancelled immediately without a refund.
